On the seventh day of creation, as he so eloquently and so artistically described in the Bible, God was completely done making everything that he was making, and he rested. In this painting, in the sky, is God resting. Off to God’s right hand side is the universe that he had made. Below God is the world that he had made, at the Garden of Eden.
